Vivi’s Venture

October 2012

ROFLOW were saddened to here that thieves had broken into a local cafe and stolen a full charity box belonging to a girl from Windsor called Vivi who has cerebral palsy.

Roflow donated £500 to Vivi’s charity to help her raise the £50,000 needed for a SDR procedure not available on the NHS.

Put simply, Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) is a procedure that will change Vivi’s life. SDR is a procedure designed for sufferers of cerebral palsy – a neurological disorder that affects the relationship between the brain and the nervous system, inhibiting normal motor activity. Although the exact cause of cerebral palsy is not known, it has been linked to bleeding in the brain and/or abnormal brain development as an infant.
