Unfortunately, earlier in the year The ROFLOW Suite at Sedgefield was given up to Owners and Trainers. This was necessary in order for the racecourse to upscale their horse entry numbers and accommodate associated attendees.
We have enjoyed the many many years at Sedgefield Racecourse and it has enabled us, with the support of wonderful people to fundraise with tremendous results for the various charities. Our sponsorship at Sedgefield and particularly with the Great North Air Ambulance Service has been incredible.
The fundraising format of racing with dinner in The ROFLOW Suite enabled us to attract paying supporters and bolster revenue with our auction & raffle. It was a delight to entertain our guests with many awesome original recording artists and talent show stars.
A special thank you to auctioneer Mr Derek Beasley, sublime tipsters Derek ‘Tommo’ Thompson and Bob Champion. Many thanks to the staff at Sedgefield Racecourse and the continued assistance of Santander.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) is a charitably funded air ambulance service which provides life-saving care throughout 8000 square miles in the North East, North Yorkshire, and Cumbria. They operate two helicopters 365 days a year and also operate a night-time service in the North East and Cumbria using rapid response vehicles. The specialist doctors and paramedics effectively bring the hospital to the patient. The level of skill and expertise of team mean they respond to the most critically ill and injured people, giving them the best chance of survival. 2022 marks the service providing 20 years of life-saving care. Throughout this time, they have responded to more than 23,500 incidents across the region, with road traffic collisions being the most frequent type of incident responded to by the team. They do not receive Government funding and must therefore raise £7.7m a year through public donations to remain operational.
