Great North Air Ambulance Presentation 2017

GNAA’s Public Liason Manager Ruth Davey, ROFLOW’s charity auctioneer Derek Beasley, Santander’s representative Lorna Fagan, Megan Shutt of Sedgefield Racecourse and Tom Robson of ROFLOW are presented with a large Great North Air Ambulance cheque. The cheque with a sum of £12,740.00 to acknowledge the final amount raised from the ROFLOW Ladies Evening 2017.

A huge thank you to our generous supporters and their contributions to make this terrific amount.

The money donated to GNAA was raised from the on-course raffle, in-suite raffle, donations and auction in the ROFLOW suite.

Joining us on the evening were racing legend Bob Champion and former GNAA airlifted patient jockey Henry Brooke. Henry spoke about his experience of being airlifted after a fall at Hexham Racecourse last year.

This years in-suite entertainment was from former X Factor winner Steve Brookstein. Steve still holds the record for the most votes in one night with over 6 million when he became the first ever winner of The X Factor. He went on to have a number one album ‘Heart and Soul’ and number one single ‘Against All Odds’. Steve was joined with former World Welterweight Champion John H Stracey, who got up to sing a few Rat Pack Favorites.

Next years Race day meeting will be held on Thursday 30th August 2018. Save the date in your diary!
