August 2019
Many thanks to all who came along and attended, together with all who supported our annual ROFLOW Ladies Evening.
A great opportunity for the GNAA cheque presentation at Teeside Airport. In attendance from left to right, GNAA’s Public Liason Manager Ruth Davey, Sedgefield Racecourse’s General Manager Emma White, GNAA’s DrJo Paterson, Roflow’s Charity Auctioneer Derek Beasley and GNAA’s Paramedic Tim West.
Proceedings for the day commenced in the ROFLOW suite with Tipping Session from Derek ‘Tommo’ Thompson. As always, Tommo added his sincere contribution throughout the event for the Great North Air Ambulance Service. Also in attendance was Tommo’s great friend the legendary Grand National winner Bob Champion. Bob very kindly provided a short history of his illustrious career and followed to outline the vital importance of the Air Ambulance Service.
With racing complete, our magnificent host Mr Derek Beasley conducted the charity auction and raffle. Thanks to Derek’s great powers of persuasion the total amount raised for the day was a huge £13,424.00. Once again our appreciation to Lorna Fagan of Santander for their support funding.
The evenings entertainment was concluded with top soul singer Kenny Thomas. Kenny Thomas was very successful in the 90’s with eight UK top 40 singles and two UK top 10 albums including hits like ‘Thinking About Your Love’ ‘Best Of You’ and a fantastic cover of ‘Outstanding’.
