The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same. The scheme encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
Brigadier Paul Baker, Chief Executive, North of England RFCA said to this years new and revalidated winners of the award:
“There has always been great support for the Armed Forces within the North East of England but the growing number of companies prepared to publicly demonstrate this support is truly heartening, especially in such challenging times. These Employer Recognition Scheme awards are a recognition of the backing and encouragement provided to their employees who are also Reservists, Adult Volunteers within the Cadet Forces, Veterans and their families. Well done to you all.”
We at ROFLOW are delighted to be revalidated with the ERS Silver Award and would like to thank our own hard working and brave ex-servicemen for continuing to demonstrate not only the viability of veterans in the workplace post-service, but how availing they can be. We would also like to thank the ABF and SAAFA (among others) for the tenacious and inspiring work they do assisting the transition of our brave and deserving veterans into a happy and well-functioning civilian life.
